Wooshii approached Motivo with a vision of showcasing the wide range of accessibility features within the Amazon Alexa devices. We searched across the country for the most representative stories, gathering real experiences from actual Alexa users to bring this heartwarming and exciting campaign to life.

PRODUCTION

After a series of pre-production meetings to determine the creative vision, we moved into identifying the perfect subject for our mini-doc. When we came across Camille Jassny, an award-winning artist with low vision, we were so excited that she agreed to participate because her story resonated so deeply with our entire team.

An added challenge during this shoot was keeping everyone safe during a pandemic, so we decided to send a minimal crew to Camille's home while the director, Patrick Mason, oversaw the filming process remotely. 

To tell the best story and paint a vivid picture of her experience, we created multiple documentary scenes of Camille demonstrating the various ways that the Echo Show benefits her life and enhances her independence. One of our favorite scenes was getting to capture Camille working on a commissioned piece of artwork, demonstrating the Echo's ability to help artists with impairments to create and share their work with friends, family, and fans across the world.

RESULT

To optimize the piece for a variety of social media channels, Motivo created over 70 different versions of the video to be used across a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns. The most exciting result for our team was when the main ad spot reached nearly 1 million views on YouTube alone.

The video was such a hit that Amazon even showed the piece at their regular “all hands” meeting at their Seattle headquarters.
